BJP today protested against the increase in compressed natural gas (CNG) prices in the capital and demanded the resignation of Congress-led Delhi government saying it has no right to continue in power.
"Delhi government, after wasting huge amount in the name of Commonwealth Games has become (so) merciless that it has continued to put economic burden on the people of Delhi on the first day of New Year itself," BJP Delhi chief Vijender Gupta said.
He said that the increase in CNG prices will have an "adverse affect" on lakhs of people living in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida.
The increase in CNG prices comes against the backdrop of rise in prices of onion, tomatoes, milk and vegetables.
