Oil n Gas Jobs

Have you been searching for Oil n Gas Jobs? If you have, then I know how frustrating it can be trying to get a new job. Especially now during these tough times, and in addition to that, the oil and gas industry are not the easiest professions to just hop on board. Those challenges alone started me thinking about how we can reduce stress, pressure, and anxiety by simply deciding for sure what it is we are looking for, preparing, and taking the time to be realistic about where we are in life.

Oil and Gas Employment Opportunities

For example, I am 45 years old now, not 25 anymore. Not only is the competition higher than ever, due to the unemployment rate, but now I would also need to take my age into consideration. But if you really think about it, getting a job usually comes down to the interview. I remember all to well, after interviewing candidates for years, the importance of that first impression.

Anyway, the following list may be totally obvious to most, and for some you may disagree, but I wanted to share it. I figure if it helps just one person, in anyway at all, then it’s worth passing on.

Job in Oil & Gas

1. Pray, and know you are not alone. God is always with you.

2. Look in the mirror and tell yourself “Everything is going to be okay”. (and mean it)

3. Get your wife or husband involved. Have them look over your resume, help you pick out a new suit, etc.

4. Nail down, as close as you can, what job, area, department, etc. you really want and will be happy with.

5. Call or talk to whoever you can in order to get your foot in the door.

6. Research the company, rehearse, prepare, and nail the interview.

7. Send a Thank You letter to the Hiring Manager (an absolute must)

8. Celebrate getting a new job!

The most important thing of all.. Do not become isolated, and know everything is going to be just fine.
